Manisa IP Protected Workplace (ZEKİ) Life Center for the Mentally Handicapped, a first in its field in Turkey, was granted the Accessibility Certificate on January 8, 2021, after passing the inspections of the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services Accessibility Monitoring and Supervision Commission, The“Accessibility Flag” was hung at the ceremony.
Before the ceremony, an introductory meeting was held at The Fortyfive Business Hotel. The Deputy Governor, Mr. Mesut ESER, Deputy Mayor of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, Mr. Mehmet GÜZGÜLÜ, Vice Rector of Celal Bayar University, Mr. prof. Dr. Ramazan GÖKUNAR, Yunusemre District Governor, Mr. Atilla KANTAY, Deputy Mayor of Şehzadeler, Mr. Haşim Yener BİLİR, Yunusemre Deputy Mayor Mrs. Şule UYGUR, Provincial Director of Family and Social Services, Mr. M.Feridun GÜLGEÇ, Manisa Provincial Director of Industry and Technology, Mr. Mehmet ÜÇBAŞ, Manisa Industrial Park Manager, Mrs. Funda KARABORAN, the officials of the institutions that received the Accessibility Certificate, and the representatives of the Confederation of the Disabled and Disabled.
At the same time, Deputy Minister of Family and Social Services, Mrs. Fatma ÖNCÜ held an online meeting on the basis of cities with the institutions that were entitled to receive the “Accessibility Certificate” in 81 provinces. The “Accessibility Logo”, created by the Ministry of Family and Social Services to show places such as buildings and public transportation vehicles that are accessible for the disabled and designed by the United Nations, was introduced. Speaking at the meeting, which was also connected live to the province of Manisa, Deputy Governor Mr. Mesut ESER stated that they are proud of the institutions that received the Accessibility Certificate in Manisa.
After the meeting, at the flag ceremony held at the ZEKİ Life Center, Manisa OSB ZEKİ Life Center, the Provincial Directorate of Environmental Urban Planning and Climate Change, Private Lidya Sardes Care Center, Private My World Care Center, Private Manisa Care Center, which are the institutions that were entitled to receive the Accessibility Certificate, The flags of the Private Vakıfbank ZİÇEV Care and Rehabilitation Center were presented by Manisa Deputy Governor, Mr. Mesut ESER.
Receiving the flag of the ZEKİ Life Center, MIP Regional Manager Mrs. Funda KARABORAN said, “We are extremely honored to receive the “Accessibility Flag” in return for all our successful efforts to ensure the full, effective and equal participation of our disabled individuals in employment life and to know that awareness will be raised in the public. After the flag presentation, the ZEKİ Life Center Accessibility Flag was hoisted in a ceremony attended by the company representatives and employees of the protected workplaces of the ZEKİ Life Center.
