Belgium’s world-famous brand La Lorraine will bring a new understanding to Turkey’s habits in the field of bakery products, pastry and bakery with an investment of 100 million TL in Manisa Industrial Park.

As a family business with 100% Belgian capital in the bakery, pastry and bakery sector, La Lorraine Bakery Products Group, which has been operating in the same field for 77 years, has a total of 12 productions, 9 in Belgium and one each in the Czech Republic, Romania and Poland. has a facility. Reaching a turnover of over 620 million Euros in 2015, La Lorraine’s 13th facility is located in Manisa, Turkey. The facility, which was built as a closed area of 20 thousand square meters on a 40-decare land in Manisa IP and brought to life by utilizing advanced technology, has the distinction of being the most popular factory among the production facilities of the entire group.

In his speech, La Lorraine CEO Guido Vanherpe said, “We decided to invest in a factory in Turkey in 2015 and today we provide service at 1500 points. We aim to reach 5000 points by the end of 2017 and to double the turnover.”

La Lorraine Turkey General Manager Burak Deniz, who stated that a foreign investment coming to our country and making a large investment in this sector in this period, will be a good example for other foreign investors for our country: “La Lorraine will bring European experience to Turkish consumers while adding vitality and dynamism to the sector. We are very assertive in the bread group. In bread, we produce products with higher added value, just as in our other products. Located in Istanbul, Antalya, Izmir, Bursa and Ankara today, La Lorraine will also be in Adana by the end of this year. We are planning to export from our Turkish production facility to different countries in the region. As La Lorraine, we are planning to export from Turkey, especially to the Middle East. This is one of the reasons why we prefer Manisa, which is close to İzmir and therefore to the port, when investing in Turkey.

Mustafa Sarıgözoğlu, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Manisa Industrial Park, in his opening speech, said, “I am very happy to be at the opening of La Lorraine, the first Belgian foreign direct investor of our region, which will reach 320 employment with an investment amount of 100 million TL.
