An event titled “Emergency Teams Compete” was held in order to improve the communication of the emergency teams of companies operating in the Manisa Industrial Park and to share examples of emergency response practices. Vestel, İpek Kağıt, Polinas, Whirlpool, Maxion Wheels and Schneider Electric companies participated in the competition held in Manisa IP Fire Practice Area. The competition was held in the categories of laying and collecting hoses, fire protective equipment and hitting targets with a hose, use of fire extinguishers, rescue and injured transport. Before the competition, Manisa IP Fire Brigade teams conducted a drill. Fire crews responded to the fire, which broke out in a closed area as per the scenario. The speed of the teams and their response to the fire did not match the fact. Afterwards, the teams fighting against a larger fire successfully completed the exercise.

Vestel, Indesit, Polinas, İpek Kağıt, Maxion and Schneider Electric emergency response teams operating in Manisa IP also competed with each other at the event. Competing in groups of two, the teams struggled to be the first. Referees, who looked at the speed and work of the teams in the competition, gave points. Schneider Electric was first, Vestel was second, and Maxion was third. Manisa IP Fire Brigade Chief Tolga Kadaz explained that the fire department of MIP provides service with 18 people and 5 vehicles.
