With the ceremony held in Manisa Industrial Park, Sait Cemal TÜREK, Chairman of the Board of Manisa Industrial Park, delivered 200 electric wheelchairs to the Governor of Manisa, Erdoğan BEKTAŞ.
Within the scope of social responsibility activities carried out by Manisa Industrial Park, T.C. Upon the request of Manisa Governor’s Office, Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Policies, 200 wheelchairs were provided by the Manisa Industrial Park to be distributed to physically disabled citizens in need in Manisa.
The delivery ceremony, which took place in the foyer area of Manisa IP Regional Directorate Building, was attended by Manisa Governor Erdoğan BEKTAŞ and Manisa IP Chairman of the Board Sait TÜREK, as well as Family and Social Policies Provincial Director Murat KONAN, Science, Industry and Technology Provincial Director Erbil KALMIŞ, Manisa IP Board of Directors and Members of the Supervisory Board attended.
Sait TÜREK, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MIP, delivered 10 chairs to Manisa Governor Erdoğan BEKTAŞ at the symbolic delivery ceremony; “Let’s not forget that every healthy person is a candidate for disability. With this awareness, we, as the Manisa Industrial Park, wanted to extend a helping hand to these citizens. Who knows how many people these battery powered wheelchairs will change their lives today, how many people will be hopeful. With the happiness of knowing this, we hope that our behavior will set an example.”
IT’S GOOD TO SHARE IN PEOPLE’S HAPPINESS
“Of course, it is important to produce and contribute to production, but we know that as human beings, we have responsibilities towards the society we live in. We don’t even realize what a freedom it is to be able to do this every day when we leave our home and go to work. However, many of our citizens cannot go out of their homes for days or even weeks because of impossibilities or because they are dependent on someone or because they need it.
Let’s not forget that every healthy person is a candidate for disability. With this awareness, we, as the Manisa Industrial Park, wanted to extend a helping hand to these citizens. Who knows how many people these electric wheelchairs will change their lives today, how many people will be hope. With the happiness of knowing this, we wish our behavior to be an example. We made the tires of the electric wheelchairs according to the conditions of our country.”
THE TENANTS WILL BE THE OWNERS
Governor Bektaş, who thanked the MIP management for its sensitivity, said, “MIP is one of the leading industrial regions of our country. In addition to these superior qualities, they add their social responsibility projects. Thus, they lead the society. Our lives need to be arranged according to the disabled.” he said.
Yasemin Yıldız, President of Manisa Association for the Physically Disabled, also thanked MIP President Sait Türek for his nice support. Stating that the building they are in is rented, the landlord will remove them at the end of this month, Yıldız asked Governor Bektaş and Sait Türek for help in this regard. With the support of the industrialists, the Association for the Physically Disabled will own a house where the tenant is located.
After the speeches, Governor Bektaş presented wheelchairs to the disabled.
