The ZEKİ Project, which was implemented by Manisa IP, also attracted the attention of Prime Minister Yıldırım. Emphasizing that the protected workplace project was started in Manisa, Prime Minister Yıldırım said, “We saw the first application in Manisa Industrial Park. We will expand the number of these projects, which are a very good example, in all IPs. Hopefully, in 2018, 5,000 of our brothers will start working”.

Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım gave the good news at the 3 December International Day of Persons with Disabilities event held in Istanbul Silence Hotel, “We will start 5,000 disabled citizens to work in 2018”. Expressing that the program for the disabled is one of the programs he was most touched by, Prime Minister Yıldırım said that they worked day and night under the leadership of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and they turned the mountainous problems of the country into mountainous services. Prime Minister Yıldırım noted that the Mentally Handicapped Protected Workplace Project (ZEKİ), implemented by the Manisa Industrial Park, is an exemplary project. Emphasizing that the protected workplace project was started in Manisa, Yıldırım stated that they saw the first application in the Manisa Industrial Park.

ABOUT THE ZEKİ LIFE CENTER

Manisa IP Z.E.K.I. Life Center is the first and only project in the field of Industrial Parks in Turkey. Thanks to this project, 34 mentally handicapped individuals who have turned 23 and received special education have been employed by the regional companies as of October 2017 and have a job and monthly income. At the same time, the companies employed the disabled personnel, which they were obliged to employ within the scope of the Labor Law No. 4857, with this project.
